The girls golf team completed their season in style and at the top of the medal stand at the PIAA Golf Championships. The Lady Pickers, led by junior Lydia Swan, bested runner-up Greensburg Central Catholic by six strokes to secure their first state gold. Swan, led all golfers with a low round of three under par 69. Her highlights included an amazing hole in one on the par three eighth hole. Sister Anna Swan secured the second best round for the Pickers with a four over 76 with Taylor Urban rounding out the scoring with a 96. Junior Ellie Sebolt also completed the 18 hole event for North East. Lydia was the first individual to win team championships on both a boys and girls squad along with her individual state championship in 2019. The girls are coached by Mark Hughes. Amazing!
