Golden Day for Lydia Swan

Sophomore Lydia Swan won the girls class AA PIAA Golf Championship in golden fashion. Swan finished the final round tied for first with Vileska Gelpi of Rockwood. Lydia would put the finishing touches on a fantastic tournament by sinking her 25 foot putt for birdie and securing her spot atop the medal stand. Older brother Isaiah Swan also had a medal worthy performance, finishing 8th in the boys AA division. Isaiah finished with rounds of 73 and 81 to put himself on the medal stand. It was the second trip to the individual championships for the Picker golfer and he made the most of it. Teammate Carter Hassenplug, the District 10 champion, finished tied for 17th. Congratulations on an incredible season!
