The boys cross country team will be representing North East High School once again at the PIAA State Championships this Saturday, November 2nd. The “Long Gold Line” placed second to Grove City at the District 10 meet this past weekend and punched their tickets to Hershey. The team, led by seniors Zane Courtwright, Tony Haskins, Tanner Kloss and Jason Seevers, will step to the starting line at 12:30 pm on Saturday. The Pickers are also supported by a talented underclassmen group that includes junior Brock Pennington, sophomore Ben Leonard and freshman phenom Lucas Boyd. The state meet will be the last for long time head coach **** Gregg as he is set to retire from coaching cross country at the conclusion of the season. Coach Gregg is recognized throughout District 10 and the state for heading one of the states premier programs. We wish he and the Pickers good luck at Hershey! Streaming and on demand coverage information can be found at https://pcntv.com/crosscountry/.
