Jason Morell has been named to head the girls softball program for the 2020 season. Jason is a canine officer with the Erie Airport and brings a wealth of coaching experience and enthusiasm. We are pleased to add him to our Picker coaching staff. Good luck coach Morell!

The Erie Bayhawks made a visit to North East High School on Tuesday, January 21st to showcase their talent, meet with fans and to help raise money for our basketball programs. The coaching staff and players were on hand to interact with players of all ages, demonstrating what they do on a daily basis as professional athletes. It was not hard to see why they compete at the professional level. Stars such as Aubrey Dawkins, Javon Bess and Scottie Lindsey worked with over 100 kids on offensive and defensive skills and drills. They even stayed late to sign autographs and answer questions. The real star of the night was the local favorite Skunk and Goat Tavern. Anne Lewis, former Lady Picker basketball player and D10 standout, was on hand to represent the local business and to sponsor the event. Anne is the marketing director for Red Letter Hospitality and came up with the idea after speaking with members of the Bayhawk staff. A big shout out to the Skunk and Goat and for the amazing Bayhawks. Thank you!

The Erie Bayhawks will be visiting North East High School on January 21st at 6:00 pm to challenge the Picker basketball teams and fans in a series of skill competitions. The event is sponsored by The Skunk and Goat with proceeds benefiting the boys and girls basketball boosters. The Bayhawk players, mascot and personnel will be on hand to talk with fans, sign autographs and provide a great evening of entertainment. There will be auctions and gift giveaways for those in attendance. Tickets are $10 each which will grant you entrance into the skills night and will be good for the Bayhawks home game on February 1st for “North East Night.” Tickets are available from any boys or girls basketball player or contact the athletic office at 814 725-8671 (ext. 1500)
